Avec aussi Le Jeu de la Dame, Ozark et Ratched, Netflix écrase la concurrence.
L'année qui vient de s'écouler fut très particulière pour le cinéma, mais incroyablement florissante du côté du petit écran. Les 78e Golden Globe Awards se tiendront le dimanche 28 février 2021, sous la houlette de Tina Fey et Amy Poehler. Et les nominations qui viennent d'être annoncées - par Sarah Jessica Parker et Taraji P. Henson -dévoilent déjà les grands favoris.
Comme à son habitude, The Crown sera en bonne position. La série britannique de Netflix décroche 6 nominations. Soit deux de plus qu'Ozark. D'une manière générale, les séries Netflix se taillent la part du lion, avec 20 nominations au total, à travers le différentes catégories.
HBO suit derrière et résiste grâce à l'excellente mini-série The Undoing, qui décroche 4 nominations elle-aussi, auxquelles s'ajoutent celles pour Lovecraft Country, Perry Mason et I Know This Much Is True. L'autre chaîne à péage, Showtime, revient également en force, avec trois séries marquantes : Mrs America, Your Honor, et surtout The Comey Rule.
Du côté des autres plateformes, c'est Hulu qui s'en sort le mieux et s'offre 6 nominations grâce à The Great (3), Normal People (2) et Ramy (1), quand HBO Max décroche le premier sésame de sa courte histoire grâce à The Flight Attendant (2), pendant qu'Apple et Disney Plus apparaissent épisodiquement dans cette liste, avec The Mandalorian (1) d'un côté et Ted Lasso (2) de l'autre.
